So have my friend a beer!
By golly, I got 'er! She can't run away from me any more. I got 'er in my HD.
Man, she is as beautiful as a pretty deer. I'm gonna have a beer.
Here is the lady that showed up this morning Ain't she pretty?
I asked: Cassandra, me Lady? " Sure you fool, don't you think I'm cool?"
As cool as a hot potato me lady, I says.
"Behave you ugly creep!
I'm gonna make you weep! "
"Your second disk I'm gonna mess",
"I'll do it, I confess"
Finally she came out of her box safe and sound. No messed up hard disk this time.
I just finished installing her and you are the first visitor.
BTW. Keep up the good work with your literary activities. Practice makes perfect!
Greetings, your friend the Blogger

Hello everybody,
I just thought I should spread the good news.
This is another success of Linux Mint. Almost everything runs smoothly, with minor bugs here and there.
What impressed me though, is the speed of this distribution: amazing!
Much faster than Bianca, with applications opening up quickly.
Good work! The Mint people deserve a big BRAVO!

Dear Mr. Kenetics,
Since we do not as yet have our bar operating full time, please visit the Mint Café
and have as many drinks as you can handle safely, at our own expense.
On the other hand, the Mint House (Baron Minhousen's mansion) is honored by your presence here and will award you a certificate of full membership.
NEWS
As rumors here have it, the management of the Mint Café resigned recently.
There is also a conflict between Bianca and Cassandra. The arrival of the latter one has infuriated Bianca, who refuses to let her enter the Mint Café.
The Mint House has inherited a large sum of money as well as the above-mentioned mansion. ( Our premises are not easily accessible since they are located in the Carpathian mountains of Latonia)
So, our board of directors is considering merging with the Mint Café, either operating as a sub-off-topic Café, or taking over the management of the Mint Café.
Either way, we intend to serve our visitors more efficiently, as the facilities of the Mint Café are better organized and easily accessible.
We hope that The Mint Foundation will consider our generous offer.
Best regards,
the manager of the Mint House

I heard that the fellow who ran the Mint Cafe left town in a hurry taking Bianca with him. He'll probably stash her away somewhere in a nice château and come back for Cassandra too.
Well, that's good news! It will make things easier for Cassandra. I don't think this guy has the guts to show up. Good riddings!
Cassandra will be very happy to hear the news.

Look fellows,
Would you blame a young fellow for falling in love with two beautiful women at the same time?
If Bianca would jilt him, Cassandra will heal his wounds.
After all, Cassandra is a swifter wench. Beware of the Irish beauties baring their gifts!
And geeks with cruiser ships.
Cheers, your friend the Blogger
BTW, I am now enjoying Symphony music with Exaile radio. Exaile is great. And Mint Install works!

Hello newcomers to Mint,
This is really what I call 'user friendly'.
Another addition to Mint is the automatic installation of software. No messing around with 'repositories' or 'sources lists' or
piling, compiling and re-compiling , and all that jazz!
All you will have to do is to select the software from a Portal.
Then you have a description of the package, so that you may decide if you want to install it.
You click yes and a special file is saved on your desktop.
To go ahead and install it, you just double-click on this file ( .mint type).
For detailed information look up this post.

Hello newcomers,
If you read the posts in the forums, you'll notice that there is a lot of
gibberish among people who are the so called Gurus ( highly educated Linux
experts), and others who love to play around with words-- mods, pods, roots, rocks and bloggs The Terminal (bus?), comments and uncomments!
They talk about sources lists, repositories, piling or compiling.
It's as if a bunch of musicians are asking you to read their composition.
But all we want is to listen to it!
They never stop to think that English (with all kinds of jargon) is not the native language of everybody.
So, you get the impression that Linux is not for you
Though it is true that in the past Linux was almost taboo for those who were not programmers or computer specialists, today it has come to replace windows in most instances; (The grandmother's operating system)
Steady as a rock, with no crashes or blue screens, no malware, spyware or viruses; it's actually, a newbie' paradise.
So, plunge into Linux and be happy! Don't let the 'Guru' talk scare you away.
Good luck, your friend, the Blogger

Hello friends,
More and more software is being added every day to the Linux Mint Software Portal.
This is unbelievable! You can download this stuff with just a couple of clicks!
And it installs automatically.
Cassandra stable is going to be one of the best distributions so far.
There are no major bugs in it, and the whole community is taking part in shaping
it up. I call it 'The Community Project'
A big BRAVO to the developers!

Hello everybody,
All is quiet in the front! Where has everybody gone?
Well, since the second beta version of Cassandra is running smoothly, there is nothing much to talk about at present.
Some 'bugs' in Mintinstall that are minor, and suggestions for some artwork; that's all we can talk about.
Lots of people are still downloading this version. And many requests for additional software in the Mint Software Portal have been expressed by the community.
Remember? This is a 'community project'. Send in your requests before the final stable edition is released.
It won't be long before the stable release is out.
What are we to expect after Mint 3.0 Cassandra? It may be another pleasant surprise.

Hello friends,
I thought I might give Mint a hand by reminding you that it is a community project supported mostly by donations.
We thank the developers for sacrificing their spare time to give us the pleasure of using such a wonderful Linux OS.
The following is a copy from Linux Mint DONATIONS:
Donating to Linux Mint
You can help by making a financial contribution to the project. Thanks to advertisements and your donations the Linux Mint project can afford to be hosted on a dedicated server, to advertise on other websites, to purchase and test new hardware (graphic cards for instance) and to give more time to the development team.

Hello everybody,
There has been much talk around about METALINKS; a new method of fast and more reliable downloading.
Unfortunately, not much is available in the form of a How-To. We can find a great deal of information by searching with Google, but what is needed here is a simple step-by-step tutorial for the average Linux user. I am sure most of you will agree.
I have put in a request for this in the SUGGESTIONS & FEEDBACK for Casandra beta 014.
I hope that someone knowledgeable will take the time to offer his services.
I would like to thank him in advance.
