Hello guys,
Finally I got connected to the web! Somebody had messed up the router settings, giving me a wrong Subnet Mask number.
It took me quite a bit of experimenting to find out the cause of the problem.
I have been given a static IP and the automatic DHCP detection doesn't work

I am now running Cassandra Gnome with a static IP. :D

I guess you must be right Ken; the chief's prettiest daughter ran away with an MS fellow last week. Now the chief has put a very high price on his head.
All able head-hunting braves are out to get the reward.

Greetings from Chief Arumba and part of his family. :)

Hello everybody,
I am now trying CELENA 021, beta live. I am tempted to install it to my HD, since it looks pretty good and is quite stable.
It appears to me to be faster, even if I am using the live CD,
And the desktop background (Vedergal's artwork) is so appropriate
since CELENA is the Goddess of the Moon.

I really believe that this edition is going gold soon. :) Cassandra Gnome has been my favorite until now, but I'm not going to part with her. I might finally keep Cassandra and install CELENA alongside.

That's what happens when one falls in love with two pretty ladies at the same time.
I'll spread the word across the jungle Web. :) Who knows? MInt might get more sponsors among the head-hunter tribes.

Greetings,
Blogger_Live

CELENA

Old McDonald has a farm
And his moonshine is a charm

Always busy thru the night
By Celena's early light
Till the dawn's early flicker
Old McDonald brews his liquor

"O Goddess of the night
Princess of light
A beauty and a work of art
Shine upon my aching heart"

"Help me to make a tasty brew
As fresh and sweet as morning dew"
Help me to rid myself of blues
To make this batch a better booze"

EDIT. Well, I couldn't resist! :) I did install CELENA on my HD.
It's fantastic! Much faster than Cassandra; snappy!
The installation is a little bit slow, but afterwards, everything works
so well.
Bravo Clem and the Team,
Good work Mint boys! :D

Verdegal37's artwork has made the difference. This is definitely a slick, professional-looking distribution.
Congratulations! :)

How much do we really know about the Moon? To find out, read the article in the following link.

Here is another good review on Celena.

It's a pleasure to see that more and more people are writing favorable reviews.

Hello Mint Braves,

I owe everybody an explanation for my sudden absence of reports from the Amazon jungle.
Unfortunately, I had to leave the area in a hurry. :D
As I mentioned some time ago, the chief here was apprehensive about the mating season of the Amazonians, those attractive, fierce female warriors.
October is their time. They raid the villages and abduct any braves that they take a fancy to.
So, the tribe has, in the past, lost some of the best young men.
Needless to say that most young braves don't mind, and as a matter of fact, they always welcome this event. :D

The Amazonian warriors, by the way, are tall, blond women of extreme femininity. They have no men in their tribe, and they are very excited when they meet their first favorite mate.
They can't resist the call of nature, you see.

So, the expedition had to leave the area before this event took place, being afraid that we might lose some of our best men.
Being a very attractive fellow myself, I was afraid that I might be held permanently a hostage by these beautiful females. Although the experience would be most exciting , to say the least. You see, I am bored with our civilized way of life.

Life in the jungle is what the creator intended it to be, ideal for humans and animals alike.
But, I have been wondering what happens to the men after these pretty females get bored with them; I hear divorce is unknown here. Could some of the shrunken heads in the jungle market be the product that results from some sort of a divorce? I wonder!
I wouldn't take a chance, anyway. Besides, there are no lawyers here.
Anyway, it's too high a price to pay for some wild excitement.

So, back in civilization again, with all of the humdrum, nerve racking noise and anxiety, depression, and civilized shrinks that charge many times more than witch doctors in the jungle. But guess what, the shrinks here don't charge anything! They're only interested in your cerebellum; not your pocketbook! :)

So, enough for today, my dear friends.
More to follow later.
Greetings,

You are both so right Ken and Agust,

When these women are after you, the best thing to do is to run away as fast as you can. :) There's no telling what they may do with you after they're done. :(

Anyway, glad to be back!
Greetings,
Your Live friend,

Well, Ken
Anyone would look that way after running through the jungle for a whole week. :)
I was hoping that, looking like the rest of the gang, the wild wenches would have nothing to do with me.
My friends, as you may gather, are over 100 years old! :o

Hello boys,
Our next expedition may be the Underworld. :)
Sign up here to join. So far we have invited Dr. Indiana Jones, Captain Nemo, and Julius Verne himself.
A very exciting venture, it will be.

THE HOLLOW EARTH
Fact or fiction?

To make a simple comparison, think of the Earth as being something like a large, round watermelon, somewhat flattened, with holes in the upper and lower ends, vertically; resembling a doughnut.
An ant walking towards the upper hole of the watermelon will always see nothing but a curved horizon in front, and a 'flat' ground, even if it approaches the Pole'.
Because of gravitational forces, the tiny creature will always feel that it is upright; even if it walked through the hole and came out to the surface at the bottom end, or other 'pole', it will always cling to a flat surface. Amazing!
Now, let us suppose that the Earth has a shape like a somewhat-rounded doughnut; with holes in the north and the south poles.
This theory seems to have a wide acceptance; hence, the mystery of the hollow Earth.
Whether this is true or not, it depends on where the hole might be; maybe in somebody's head? :)

Anyway, it's an interesting theory; it deserves some serious or light comments.
Below is an amazing satellite picture of the hole in the North pole. This is fact, not fiction.
