PCLinuxOS forum

I can agree that a couple of the moderators over there at PCLinuxOS KDE are abrasive, snide, and certainly could never work in an environment where one must be polite with other people. It is a sad forum when some moderators are flat-out rude, nasty, and hateful. I know one in particular who apparently eats so many lemons each day that he has a perpetually sour disposition.

In comparison, the much smaller PCLinuxOS GNOME forum has a more community-oriented atmosphere. Those guys in the GNOME forum are quick to respond and are actually happy to do so. I have a machine running PCLinuxOS 2009.1 GNOME and read their forums every day.

It was just in the past few months that there was some sort of rift in the PCLinuxOS camp where a group moved over and have started the Unity Linux project. Not really sure what is going on over there.

Texstar has always done a great job in putting out PCLinuxOS. The couple of messages I have had from him show that he cares about his distro and the forums. I just wish some of his moderators saw it the same way.

We are lucky here, we are not censored and our posts good or bad are not deleted and locked as long as they stay within the forum guidelines.

I visit this forum at least daily, but usually more than that. I would not do so if it were not a superior, well run forum.
