I know this is really left-field, and not related to Mint at all, but ever since someone post a link to the TSO and Wizard In Winter, I've been curious as to who may have composed it. Any ideas? Web searches hinted at Franz Listz, but I don't think that's correct.

Yep. Looking for the composer...and it's not the TSO! They just played it.

I found something here: http://www.anet.net/users/rima/web/wizards.html

This PDF provides some more details + the notes needed for playing (same page as above):
http://www.anet.net/users/rima/web/adob ... locked.pdf

The PDF claims that "Wizards in Winter" was written by members of the TSO, Paul O'Neill and Robert Hinkel. The last page of those music notes has a funny comment: "If your bells are not broken by now you have not played this loud enough!" -- R. Greer.

And here excerpts of a non-electric version with bells instead of the e-guitars:
