. . . how have you been? We've missed ya here.
Wow, thanks! I've missed being online as much as I used to be. Long story, but I'll sum up
in just a few words: Medical issues, loss of income, sale of possessions, homelessness, living in a truck and hiding it from all the kids at school, finding safe shelter, trying to keep from being taken from my parents and put in foster care (I think I'm old enough to avoid it)... but it hasn't all been bad! Good stuff
too: New friendships, newfound gratitude for little things I used to take for granted, new compassion for those "bums" with the cardboard signs begging at intersections. The gift of a new (to me) laptop so I can still do schoolwork and all the dance stuff I need a 'puter for... (sold my desktops to help the family). New hope for getting out of this homelessness after graduation, teaching dance! But best of all, new peace even in this stormy time, because of newfound faith in God. My future is bright now, no matter what happens on the outside!
On the inside
, I feel safer, more at peace, more grateful, more compassionate, and more hopeful than ever. My parents think I'm crazy, but I think my joy is rubbing off anyway. I hope they'll come to know my Savior soon too.
Wow, I didn't mean to write a whole book there, lol. It was supposed
to be a summary!
My access to the 'net is still pretty random (whenever I can find a spot that is safe and offers free WiFi access), but I always stop here whenever I can get online. It's great to see how active the Mint forums have gotten!
Thanks for the warm greetings. I hope to be more active here too once I have a "real" home (hopefully with my own bedroom! oh, sweet privacy!) and "real" internet access. In the meantime my visits will be kinda random and maybe rare because life is kinda complicated for the time being.
Hugs (and a toast with my frosty mug of sarsaparilla),
