Hello Uncle Bob,
I haven't seen the movie but this is a pretty good cinema data base.
BTW, my Latin is rusting away in the bottom of my memory. :) Aspice, officio fungeris sine spe honoris amplioris. Could you please explain what it means?
Regards, npap

Its a British film and I thought it was hilarious!
I'ts not been released in the US yet. It looks funny and Simon Pegg was good in Shaun of the Dead. I'm a fan of British humour, so I will definitely look for it.

Hi Kenetics,

Ah, Mr. Bean. One of my favorites too. You can't say his shows had a lot of noise!

I think music association with films actually started during the silent era, when they played organ music during the show.

Yes Ken,
I love British humor. I miss the late Danny Hill.
That was real, raving, British humor.

BTW, There are two days left for New Bianca's arrival :)
This time I will be better prepared for the download. I will get all the kinks out of the Damn Slow Line, stretch it out good, and clean it up with a lint-free damp cloth.
And, Oh! I almost forgot!
I won't let my wife hang any laundry on it.

Hi, npap and fellow minties!

Greetings, and please pass some Puerto Rican rum, if you have.

I believe it was Benny Hill, but yes, he was quite funny.

Did anyone ever see "Last of the Summer Wine?' It was on BBC probably back in the days of the sabertooth, although I still see reruns once in a while here in the US. Just some old guys with nothing to do, but it was excellent.

Cheers,

Angel

Hello Angel, and all fellow Minties (not rummies) :)

Welcome to the Mint Lounge. Have a nice Mint Julep! But if you prefer Puerto Rican rum, we will have some the next time you visit.
We do ask our guests for their booze preferences , so that we may complete our MintMenu. :)
We also like to have more people at the Lounge for a chat 'about mice and men'
I myself have been drinking Jamaican dark rum but I never thought to try Puerto Rican rum.( Right now I am still sober tho) I will get some the next time I visit the liquor store.

Yes Angel, it was Benny Hill. You are right.

Cheers,
Here's to your health! :)

Merci Phil, mon cher ami,
Salut!
I tried all the gimmics to upgrade to Bianca stable. But alas! You can't be too sure with a pretty, unstable lady.
How can I check to see if I have a stable Bianca? :) I checked Amarok but the version is still 1.4.4

A ta santé and a good download tomorrow. :)

@npap

How can you check if you run Bianca stable or not?
I think at the moment you made systematically all updates + followed the method on Wikimint (+ my dialog with Clem here http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1139)... then you are (tired but) stable
In connection with Amarok, try this
f you are using a nautilus to do that, try pressing alt-f2, then a window will pop up, type gksu nautilus.

it will ask you for a root password. just enter the root password that you have set and you will definitely gain access in the directory you want to manipulate.

be careful though, using a root access gives you all the rights.

hope this helps.
and change Amarok 144 in Amarok 145. After that sudo aptitude update and sudo aptitude upgrade :D

Hope I could help you.
Philippe

PS - I think you was running Bianca Beta 014 and not Bea, is it?

[quote="crusti"]I'm a bit thirsty, thought I'd come by for a refreshing Baileys Mint on ice. Hope everyone's having a terrific day! I'm very excited about upgrading to Bianca stable, and I'm glad I don't have to wait until tomorrow :)

Welcome Crusti,
We will certainly add Baileys Mint to our MintMenu. :) Join the party tonight when we celebrate Bianca's arrival.

Cheers, here's to your health! :)

OK Clem, thanks for this.
Now the broken links are removed and openoffice in french.
You have to return to wiki and to open a terminal. There you write:
cd /usr/share/applications
sudo rm openoffice-2.1-math.desktop
after
sudo rm openoffice-2.1-base.desktop
and finally
sudo rm openoffice-2.1-draw.desktop

After that the openoffice language (optional) etc. :)
