The word 'Vista' means 'view' in Spanish. Like a mountain view or beach view or whatever. What Microsoft is referring to is a 'garbage disposal view'. And Windows 'ME' stood for how much Microsoft though of themselves.

Even though the Mellinum didn't "truly" change over until 2001 (we didn't start counting our year at year 0 but at year 1)
