I enjoy reading threads and often will have to log out and leave my laptop before I finish reading the entire thread. What if there was an option for your account where you could have a "reading QUE" and save threads that you are actively reading to your que. You could choose to make public what threads are in your que for a given period of time (1 week or month makes sense to me any longer and the list could become 100 items long easily and any shorter it would be in maybe the single digits. I think about 25 items in your que makes sense) So you would be able to see what other users are reading and communicate with people reading similar things as you. It could also be built into the thread via a list of people actively reading and following a certain thread.
This would allow for you to socialize and communicate with people who read similar threads as you.
So I hope I have made this idea clear however, I can't seem to find 10 minutes of silence to type it out coherently. I will read through it after posting again and clarify my intentions if need be.
I am very curious as to what other people on the forum think about this idea and how to go about having it executed.

What, subscribing to a topic? I don't think that's the case. When you subscribe to a topic, it will be tied into your account in the forum.
Cookies are NOT necessarily evil. Some Windows antivirus software give cookies a bad name by using highfalutin terminologies (e.g. "tracking cookies" and the like) meant to scare off unsuspecting and uninformed users into thinking that cookies steal your credit card numbers or whatever
