How can I eliminate the announcements that appear when I'm reading a message post?
Seems that announcements are visible everywhere, way too much. Having to view the announcements when reading every post seems unnecessary. How can I turn this off?

Re: Eliminate announcements when reading a post?
Which announcements?
You mean the advertisements - they are a vital part of how Mint gets its (way to low ) income
You could install adblock and set it not to show but download the ads (please)
This way we get the money and you get peace of mind

I think he meant the announcements (The Linux Mint Newsletter - Issue 31, Daryna KDE CE BETA 044 is out!, mintBackup 1.1 released in Romeo, etc) at the top of every thread. And I don't know.

I see - you can't...
They look a bit strange sometimes as this version of phpbb does not "understand" announcements by default, so we've done a hack
These are for important messages...
Do you think they should be limited to the index page?

Re: Eliminate announcements when reading a post?
If I may put in my two cents here Husse, I for one would like it limited to the index page. Once you click on a particular topic you should not see them anymore. Just my opinion. I can live with it as it is. I'm in it for the os.
Neither is there in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12.

Re: Eliminate announcements when reading a post?
I've made a suggestion to the team (read Clem - he is the guy with administrator rights) to only have it on the index page
Re: Eliminate announcements when reading a post?
The announcements seem to have been removed from the message pages. Thanks!
Re: Eliminate announcements when reading a post?
I've given a mild warning to the person that wrote "princess"
And it was on my suggestion Clem removed it, I can't
