install nvidia drivers on asus g551jk

Post by darko_petreski »

On asus g551jk laptop, I have mint 17 with xfce.
I cannot install nvidia drivers. I open the additional driver wizard, but it does not detect anything.
Then I tried to install drivers from here http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverRe ... 3686/en-us and got error while installing (I do not have the error now, but I could try again to get it, if it may help) and I broke the system.

How can I do it?
Should I try with blumlebee https://wiki.debian.org/Bumblebee#Installation ?

You can throw away the Nvidia driver package that you've downloaded, because you install the latest Nvidia driver by means of the mamarley PPA:
