Radeon 4350 loses video after selecting option on USB boot

I have a small dell 755 with a Radeon 4350 card. The card has HDMI, DVI, and VGA ports.

When I boot from the USB to install mint, once I select the option to start linux mint to then install it, my monitor loses video signal. Everything boots up and displays fine, it seems like it doesn't like sending video through DVI. My monitor only has DVI.
