Resolution Issue

Hello All,

I am new to linux mint but so far I am enjoying it. I am having an issue when my PC goes to sleep mode and I log back in my resolution changes and I lose my desktop icons. Was wondering if there is a fix for this? I am using mint 14 cinnamon.
