Mint 13 and Intel Mobile GM965/GL960

Installed Mint 13 on a Compaq laptop. When I boot, I get a TTY session. If I boot to recovery and choose "resume" I can get in, but it uses Shell (or MATE, idk) and the screen is blurry. Can someone help me get the right graphics card on here so I can boot regularly? Thanks!
