[SOLVED]Mint 14 64bit Cinnamon-catalyst 13.2 beta6 problems

Post by ghiltanas »

Hi, i'm new, so hi to all first.
I recently installed mint 14, 'cause i need linux and i like mint. I have an hd6850 1gb connected via hdmi to a fullhd monitor (audio works well), and via dvi to the second monitor (1680*1050 no audio, i sometimes use it not always), and i installed the latest beta drivers by amd (13.2 beta6, i downloaded it from the site), also to try steam games.
I have some problems however:
1) overscan: everytime i start the pc, overscan is set to 0%, but this value is not real, i have to move the bar and then reset overscan @ 0%
2) when i turn on the second monitor, i need to reset the first screen resolution to 1920*1080 (second screen is 1680*1050 instead)
3) when i run a steam's game screen becomes green
.
.
.
n) sry for my english

any ideas?

I've done:
1) sudo /usr/share/ati/amd-uninstall.sh --force */to force amd drivers unistallation/*

2) sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf

3) sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 libgl1-mesa-glx:amd64 libgl1-mesa-dri:i386 libgl1-mesa-dri:amd64 xserver-xorg-core (64bit system only, not 32bit)

4) sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

5) sudo reboot

i hope this could be usefull for someoneelse. I took the informations here:
http://www.chimerarevo.com/schede-video ... oprietari/, however for me the command: sudo sh /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh didn't work, so i used the 1) (more brutal)
