VGA monitor will not work at cold boot

Postby av8tor on Sun Apr 07, 2013 10:17 am

Hi all...I have been using Mint 14 with Cinnamon desk top for a few weeks now and really like it a lot! I am building a HTPC with an A10 5800K on an Asrock FM2A85x Extreme 4 M. Before I get it all together and start using it for what it's intended for I have run into a problem with the monitor on start up.I am just using a simple VGA for set-up of the system and for some reason the monitor will not turn on at the first boot. I have to do a "hard" restart for it to work. This problem has just started so I'm trying to locate the culprit, but have no clue what to do. This CPU has on board graphics, so no graphic card is being used. The on board graphics is the ATI Trinity Radeon HD 7660D build into the chip, Drivers are 1.13.0 if that helps. This is a new board and I have had no problems with the set- up or Mint since the first boot. Sorry for the long post....
Any suggestions?
