Hi,
Windows XP recently broke on my grandmothers computer. I decided that instead of reinstalling windows I would install mint 16 for her. So far itś not going well. With the integrated GPU mint takes 20 minutes to boot and when it does there is heavy graphics corruption, so I decided to install an old AGP-card I had lying around (an ATI 9200 PRO). With this mint installs but after login cinnamon crashes.

Everything else in the fallback mode works fine (Iḿ typing this message in the PC in question).
Is there anything I can do to get cinnamon to work properly or should I try to install mint with MATE instead?
Thanks in advance
