Hi!
My monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 171s) turns into sleep mode for few seconds when there is totally black scene in fullscreen (for example: between two scenes in a movie). How can I disable it?

You didn't say which DE you are using but for Cinnamon go to Menu>Control Centre>Screensaver&LockSettings you can disable it there

I'm using Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon. I have the same problem, when monitor is plugged into laptop with Ubuntu 14.04.
Disabling option in Screensaver&LockSettings haven't solved my problem. Any other idea?
