Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Here's my latest desktop, found a nice picture here and made it my background. Not much else has really changed, 'cept I'm using autocrosser's nicer weather icon set in the weather extension.

Wish I knew how to do that. I only have the notification icons to tell whether the net's connected or not. There's a network monitor applet in Synaptic, but it doesn't change colour to match the Orta theme.CaptHilts wrote:the only thing i'd change is the update manager icon so it matches the rest
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Here's where you go to change the update manager icons. As you can see I changed mine.
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Cheers I was wondering that as well, it was the only icon that didn't fit until nowwyrdoak wrote:Here's where you go to change the update manager icons. As you can see I changed mine.

Thanks! It's a shame you can't change the colour scheme of that particular set of MintUpdate icons, but other than that, it suits the Clarity icon theme perfectly.

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Looks good richyrich! It's nice you got an old machine back in use.
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
I like the background and tried making a tile from your screenshot, but it did not work out so well because the borders of the tile are noticeable. Is this wallpaper available someplace to download?richyrich wrote:Another one saved from the land fill, this one's an old Athlon box, Nvidia mx440 w open-source drivers, added wireless. thx Mint team.<snip>

Sorry, but they weren't the same shade of orange. More brownish, actually. But thanks for trying to fix the problem. I ended up getting the dark grey version of the update icons, and changing the panel and menu to the light colour; it's worked a treat!wyrdoak wrote:See if this works better for ya.[download link]

If you knew what the color HEX # was I could match it.maxheadway wrote: Sorry, but they weren't the same shade of orange. More brownish, actually. But thanks for trying to fix the problem. I fix old family photos for fun so icons are nothing to recolor.
