[SOLVED] Include my own distro as part of commercial purpose

Postby chemab on Wed Feb 12, 2014 9:46 am

I would like to know if it's legal to modify linux mint as own distro and include the rebranded product in a commercial purpose which includes other CDs.
Is it good enough if I just rebrand the whole distro with own logos and pictures or do I need to modify the source code?
Is it required to rename all the folders that have "linux-mint" in their names?

Hope a quick reply comes.......... :D

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Please contact the Linux Mint project leader, Clement Lefebvre, at root@linuxmint.com to get permission for basing your distro on Linux Mint for commercial purposes.
