Forum Layout

Hello, I'm new to Minty, and so far very smooth.

Community forums are a great tool - and I commend you on having what seems to be a good and active one. But (you just knew that was coming didn't ya?) it's not organized very well. You have several topic sections - all chock full of general support questions.

Perhaps a better layout would be:

Announcements & Suggestions
General Announcements
Suggestions & Feedback
New Features

Support
Installation
Desktop (Gnome, KDE, XFCE, Other)
Network - Wired
Network - Wifi
Printing
Applications
Tips & Tricks
Other (what doesn't fit above)

Development

Next Release
Artwork
Sub-Projects

Misc
Rumors and Rants
Random (Any topic but Minty ones)

Archives
Barbara
Ada
**basically move the "Next Release" catagory here and rename it when that one becomes stable, and the next development cycle starts

Just a thought (it's always better to reorganize sooner then later).

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking about something like that for a while and I'm glad you brought that up.

I agree with vonskippy. A more logical organisation would help and be needed when more people come on board
