Howdy,
to all of those involved with Linux Mint, thanks!
The simple install was just awesome and everything on my tablet pc is working, except Bluetooth.
I will be looking at the BT issue over the next couple days.

Finding a linux version that supports the Acer W500 platform was way more than I expected. The upside is the tablet feels more responsive than Win7.
FTR, I did need to use the keyboard during the install. After installing Florence the tab' is "tether-free".

For your bluez problem, Try installing blueman, bluez and pulseaudio-module-bluetooth . Blueman seemed to work better for me.
