I'm all for LinuxMint making money.
But don't you find this rather ironic?

They refuse to support Linux users yet this is what happens.
I'm somewhat disappointed by this. But I'll live. :)

The ads that appear on the forum are generated by Adsense
The content supposedly reflects the interests of the user,probably based on their recent searches
This can lead to some seemingly quite odd ads appearing
So,although Mint derives some income from Adsense (to feed the devs and run the servers) Mint does not control the content of the ads you see
If you find them annoying you are free to install adblock plus

:) Funny you should mention Adblock.
The only reason I noticed this was because I had it disabled for some reason.
As far as having control over content, that should be looked into and changed
somehow. Probably not that easy to do I'm sure.
