I've been playing around with Linux Mint for a while now.
I was just installing it and noticed that there was a screenshot of Hulu etc and I thought "Wow! There's actually a streaming site that works in Linux..". Tried it straight away and there was this big popup: "Video library is available in the US only". Very annoying.
Why is it "advertised" in the installer when it works only for a fraction of the users?
Also I don't know much about the funding of LM etc, but it would seem to me it would make more sense to combine Linux Mint and Ubuntu. A big problem in the whole Linux community now is that it's so fragmented. So many different desktops, organizations, companies, etc, if most of the funding / donations went to the same place and most contributors worked to create "the ultimate desktop" etc, it would be better?
Just some thoughts, IMHO applies to all of the above
