WOW MINT HOMEPAGE NEEDS A CHANGE URGENTLY !!!

Hi,
I think mint homepage is emm..sorry but....its extremly "ugly" ...it needs a new home page, a new design. Im a PHP programmer ....i can handle HTML and JScript but not Graphic Design....so if some graphic designer offers to re-build mint homepage and the team aproves it we can work together.

Zonamint, Not sure if you looked in the art section of the forum, but we're in the process of nailing down the mint logo, before the website is agreed upon. Make sure to vote and give an opinion. Hopefully if this gets wrapped up soon, your skills as a php developer will come in handy .

I did vote in the art topic =) . But art and web design are not the same thing..... it would be great if the homepage is been changed...cause it need it urgently!!!

Of course i will help with my PHP skills...by the way im planning to develop a Mint Counter..its a stupid script but need some hosting with PHP / MySQL and space for the images.
You know like Ubuntu counter or Linux counter...maybe its useless but people likes it.

What do you have in mind then? Could you show an example? Maybe people would understand better what you mean and maybe even favour your suggestion?

You could post a manipulated screenshot ... or you could "kidnap" a few pages from your browser's cache, modify them with the new design you have in mind, place them on a web server so we can see them?

Sure, i can ...now i have lot of work to do...when i have a break i will try to "design" my ideas and share them with mintusers

Hi, no i didnt take a look....now i did..and its great!! i love it... i work to show my idea of simply and good looking website. I used some artwork Mint users did.

Yeah its ok... im not a designer, i will stay in touch with carlos and maybe we can divide work or give him a hand with PHP if its needed.
