Someone tried this: http://area51.stackexchange.com/proposa ... 6/ask-mint
It didn't work, either. I also found that the same person did this: http://discuss.area51.stackexchange.com ... unix-linux
On further review, I think it's a rather strong argument, but it doesn't explain very well why
there should be a Linux Mint site on SE.
The problem with Stack Exchange is that they already have a site called Unix & Linux, which pretty much covers all Linux distributions. Now, if "BorWal" wants a Linux Mint site on SE so bad, his major problem would be proving that it is unique from other distributions. Since his proposal was refused as a duplicate of Unix & Linux, it's going to be hard to do unless he receives support - preferably from the Linux Mint community.
That would be true for anybody
who tries to start a Mint site there, unfortunately. It's a great idea, but it needs work.
