Is Mint Linux also Live CD?

Is this Mint Linux distro a Live CD so you can test it before you install?

I've used Ubuntu and had trouble with basic things that it seems Mint has corrected. I tried to upgrade Ubuntu to Edgy and half way through the upgrade stalled and killed the whole distro. I will not use Ubuntu again any time soon. I have PCLOS on a separate hdb1 hdd. I have a "dead" Ubuntu partition on my hda2 partitioned with Win XP. I would like to install Mint on that 45GB partition but have it on my PCLOS Lilo bootloader. Is this possible? Any instructions?
