marvellous distro for simple users like me. Very easy and a lot of features. Things to make better: a better boot program ( more like mandreva where users can easily manipulate the boot up menu). And a program for NTFS disks/ partitions.

good to know that you were able to appreciate this distro, just like i did, primarily because im an ubuntu user.

mandriva? i guess never for me. it's a linux distro that practices "turncoatism". (sorry for those who loves mandriva).

and for NTFS file format control, just install NTFS-3g. it's in the synaptics. it should be able to do you good with your NTFS partition/s.

I thought Mandriva 2007 was quite good. As a matter of fact there's a lot of ideas from it that were put into mintDesktop Also their 3d effects configuration tool (drak3d) is very good and influencing the development of mint3d. Mandriva did make mistakes in the past, but they proved to still be a very good distribution and their last release was quite impressive.
