Amarok 1.4.4 question

Postby dada1958 on Sun Jan 07, 2007 9:34 am

I'm a happy Ubuntu Efty Edge user but I read praising reviews on Mint and my system is a little bit messy at this moment so it's time for another clean install. I also read that Amarok 1.4.4 is shipped with Mint. Before I give it a shot I'd like to know if my Creative Zen V will be recognized ...
TIA

Actually it isn't in Edgy Eft but version 1.4.4 isn't available there yet ...

I don't think that this has anything to do with Amarok. This depends on the OS, if it can see your player or not. What happens if you connect your Zen to the PC? Does it see it as sort of external USB disk?

No, I can access my Zen with Gnomad2 only at this moment thanks to libmtp, it's a mtp device ... I'll give it a shot anyway because things are really messed up here.

You could try it with Linux Mint in Live CD mode ...
