Sure, has any one here, in the Mint Community, bought one?
Aye!
Newegg has all of my money.
I just tried the script on the Mint install on my EeePC and it's all pretty straight forward just like it says. The install takes a while and at certain points I swore it was frozen but it finished, I get a weird screen before my normal grub screen but it boots fine.
The fn-f6 trick to increase processor speed is nasty. It pretty much locks my system up solid and really messes with the screen when I try it. I think I'll pass on doing it again, the basic 633mhz is good enough until the worms get sorted out of it.
Everything else works great though. One weird thing of note...I could not connect to an unsecured wireless network. Secured was no problem but for whatever reason it refuses to even connect to an unsecured one. It sees it, it just won't connect.
I was assuming Mint was crazy for a while, it kept saying my wireless mouses battery was almost dead. I just thought it was one of those useless errors but nope.

The stupid thing was dead.

I couldn't even get windows to tell me my mouse battery status.
I ended up having to get rid of the Mint menu and just turn on a stock Gnome menu button, the Mint menu drags this thing down too much to use.
