Loretta, Loraine, Lenore . . . . for some strange reason, those three names each bring unwanted thoughts of an evil, possessed car !

Lisette. Lucette.

Well, Nabokov's Lolita is 12 years old in the book and she is a interesting girl with a lot of appeal, just like Mint.

How about Lizann Meaning Liberator and Feminine of Lysander. Liberator Lysander is one of the main characters in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream or Lysandra: Defends man. Also Feminine of Lysander. http://www.pickbabynames.com/_country/Greek-12.html
Today I have LMDE Xfce installed, updated and everything I want is working so I feel Liberated. I have been trying since September of last year. First LMDE Gnome followed by Xfce.
For my success I need to thank zerozero viewtopic.php?f=141&t=76556 , Clem http://blog.linuxmint.com/ and many other forum members for the how-tos and suggestions. LMDE now works for me as well as Linux Mint 11 'Katya'.

Hello,

it would be great if you could name it "Kathrin". My girlfriend Kathrin is a big fan of Linux Mint and she would be really really happy about that. I think the name would fit to Linux Mint, too.

The name come from the greek word katharos which means the uncorrupted or the sincerely.

Thanks ;)

So long.

Sorry but the name of Mint 12 will start with an L and end in -a, just like all the previous Mints.

Well, here are some suggestions of my own:

- Landrada (after a saint as well as Frankish princess)

- Laurentia

- Laurentina

- Lauriana

- Laurina

- Lavinia (after a character from Roman mythology)

- Leandra

- Leocadia (after the Spanish saint)

- Leontina

- Ligeia (after a siren from Greek mythology)

- Liora

- Luciana

- Lucilia (after the wife of Roman philosopher Lucretius)

- Luciliana

- Lucilla (after a saint as well as Marcus Aurelius' daughter)

- Lucretia (after Lucretia Borgia)

- Ludwina

- Luella

By the way, Lucille is my real first name... so it'd be so awesome if the next distro was named Lucilia or one of its variants. :D

Lucrecia, it a fine moniker with a storied past.

Like all names so far. I hope you won't choose something completly different. Yes, the name is quiet important. Please don't use names like Lola or Tinky Winky. :D
