Hi. Just a thankyou to the devs and the mint community. I'm a pclos guy who built a new box and couldn't get wireless to work. Mint is the only distro that got it online (the buntus couldn't). Just now I'm into my first 10 mins and having to use gnome - KDE is being downloaded. Apart from the gnome desktop :) I can get to like this. I'm still running pclos on another partition but you guys have got me connected. It looks good so far and i think I'll like it.
Been a distro whore recently. The new box is quite high spec. The only distros that have installed and run have been pclos, the buntus and yourselves. Only mint got wireless running. A few others have run the live disks with a ram=1024M option at boot and even though they have installed they have failed at the login (suse..etc). Also I've got 64K and I want to use it. Hoping for a long relationship but I must admit I never thought I'd ever be using anything remotely like ubuntu - Hoary memories.
Anyway. Thanks guys
