I am pretty new still useing Linux Mint 10 about 2 months or less now, for the first time, and am happy with it so far,..now even more happy, we get a lot of power failures here, I do have a regulator, to protect from surges, but no battery backup, I should get one, But anyway, Linux seems to have no problem, with this, it boots back up just fine,
...Before , with windowsXP, these power failures, always "wrecked" havock,...and a couple of times, never could reboot, most often though, just a lot of difficulty,--seems windows can't find its self very well,..when shut down like that.
But on several occasions now, it has shut down, instantly, because of the power failure, and still boots right back up, no problem.
Just wanted to comment on this,
