Regarding Mint 12 MGSE...Is it just me?

I've been running mint 12 mgse for a while now...and it seems periodically it will "crash"...what happens is...my laptop's mouse freezes and the touchpad become unworkable...i end up having to do a forced shut down...lately, it seems to be doing it more often...when i initially installed it didn't seem to do it at first...
I'm running the 64 bit edition...does this mean i got a bad download or errors on my burned iso? (i did it at the slowest speed by the way when i burned it)....

I was considering re-installing (did a fresh download and a new iso) but would it just be a waste of time? Are others here having this problem also???

Gnome Shell is certainly not the most stable and bug free thing out there, it's not just you.

Thanks...i had a feeling that might be the case...couldn't reply sooner since the mint site seem to be down all day and evening on sunday...

What i decided to do is to try a re-install, which i did yesterday...thinking that perhaps i might have gotten a bad download originally and (or) bad iso.....
So far, it seems to be running much smoother (and "knock on wood") so far, no freeze ups...i will keep an "eye" on it....

Otherwise, i do like Mint 12 MGSE very much and even though i ran ubuntu 11.10 w/unity for awhile and didn't really mind it that much, i must
say i do like this better in general...
