also anyone know where the USER list is displayed? (because i'm very used to mIRC)

I didnt need to enter any settings in xchat before using it. I just connected to the network - bam - working

try something like that

or through ssl

should work (hopefully, try non-ssl first )

well i've used IRC before via mIRC....

the servers i usually connect to work

ubuntu server work

and no.. this still isnt working....

and... i need help choosing the 1440x900 resolution so that i can actually use widescreen... not a streched out screen... (1440x900 is supported natively by the intel driver (82915G/GV/910GL and best resolution for my Xerox monitor.... i tried posting on this forum but it doesnt seem to be able to accept it or the ubuntu forums either...

and to LinuxMint - i like the distribution - but must change splash screens and theme.... haha i feel like i'm running Ubuntu with tweaks....

yeah.. it is working..

i went onto Windows XP and used HydraIRC... and yes i was able to enter the chatroom...

i dont know why i cant do this on Xchat... i'll go post it in the problems forum
