Cinnamon on Fedora - Time not synchronised in the panel

Postby libregeek on Mon Jun 04, 2012 3:25 am

I have installed Cinnamon-1.4 in Fedora 17 from the the following repo: http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/lei ... /cinnamon/

However, the Date & Time applet in the panel doesn't get synchronised in every minute. The panel always shows time as 11:06AM until the time is 12:06AM. This means that the time gets updated only once in an hour.

I have checked GNOME3 in the same desktop and it's synchronised in every minute.

Is this a known bug? If yes, is there any quick fix for this issue?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Seems to be a bug. I'm using just the standard Linux Mint Cinnamon install on my netbook and was having the same issue. Changing the date/time format to a 'standard' version from a custom one seemed to correct the issue for now.

I changed the format to %b %e, %l:%M %p and now the applet is working perfectly. Thanks for the hint.
