libdvdcss and Xine

Postby RobertX on Fri Jun 08, 2012 2:55 am

I know this has nothing to do with Linux Mint, hence my posting this into "Other topics."

I installed xine and libdvdcss2 on a Xubuntu on another computer. My question is, how would I know if Xine will play outer region movies and that it is using libdvdcss2 to do it?

Regards

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hi not exactly sure what outer region movies are but if they are css2 encrypted and xine plays them then it's using libdvdcss2 to decode them.

you can install totem in xubuntu which works well also.

Moved your topic here, as the "Other Topics" was for other topics on Linux Mint main edition support
