cinnamon on Ubuntu

I just loaded cinnamon on my Ubuntu 12.04. I like it, however. The network manager applet does not work correctly. I cannot change saved "networks". I cannot edit and existing "network". Also the desktop has crashed on several times, it automaticlly restarts with no loss of data. Any ideas?

Moving this here as it isn't about Linux Mint. Sorry, there currently doesn't seem to be a good spot for this on either the Linux Mint forum or the Ubuntu forum... Perhaps somebody here will know how to help anyway
