Hi, I run Arch Linux and cannot get my clickpad to get multitouch. I can do two-finger scrolling and two-finger clicking, but I cannot have one finger on the pad (for clicking) and another finger for moving the mouse. There simply isn't any multitouch.
I have had this problem with Ubuntu 12.04 and Linux Mint 13 as well.
I think that the synaptics driver needs to get an update to help fix this.
I had NO help from my native forums.
Here's the arch wiki article I used:

I just don't understand what to do. I want to emulate the bottom section of my clickpad to act as their own entity- left and right click buttons, while leaving the upper region as an area used to move my mouse.
Here is my laptop:

Here's a picture of my clickpad and what i want as a "left click button":

What should I do?
