Running Mate Enviroment from command-line

Postby hecconte on Sun Sep 30, 2012 4:33 pm

Hi! Just got here from Ubuntu 10.10 (I'm on a netbook so I 12.04 with Unity does not run so well).
How do you start the Mate desktop enviroment from either the console or the Alt + F2 command-line?

If you have set MATE as your default desktop environment (at your login screen), just run startx to start your graphical desktop session.
