Kubuntu 12.04 installation problems.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem in a Gateway NV5309m while trying to install kubuntu 12.04. (I know this isn't kubuntu forum but I'm looking anywhere for a solution)

First it was a installation error and the install window closed itself. After that I restarted my laptop and now I just have a black screen.

The weird thing is that if you insert the LiveCD, the DVD unit seems to read it (led starts blinking and CD spins). I think it is like stuck in a process after BIOS load or something but I just can't get rid of it.

Have you got any solution to this?.
