NASA's PCs In Space Now Run Debian Linux!
Tuesday, May 07, 2013: Linux has finally reached space by dislodging Windows! Reportedly, NASA has made up its mind to dump Windows from the laptops on the International Space Station (ISS) and adopt Linux. In addition, the first humanoid robot in space, named R2, is powered by Linux. Complte story at http://www.efytimes.com/e1/fullnews.asp?edid=105606

Awesome!
This surely means patches sent upstream. They've actually tried Linux before in some pilot studies.

All one can say, is it's about time that bureaucracies recognized their real options

Linux goes into space!
Hey all,
Though not a Mint subject in particular, the good news is that Linux itself takes a 'Giant step for mankind' as the ISS (International Space Station) wipes Windows out of service to replace it with Linux.
Now, at last, someone is beginning to see the power of the meek!

They should give Linux Mint a shot though I have tested lots of distros including ,"big brother" Ubuntu, and believe me nothing compares to Mint
