Why? 3 reasons.
1) BFQ scheduler. It seems a bit snappier on my system. Especially when playing audio.
2) TuxOnIce. Can you say "Near instant suspend and resume times?"
3) My WiFi indicator light now works correctly. It never even worked on Windows, let alone Mint. I thought it was broken.
It also has the BFS CPU schduler, but I coluldn't tell a difference between it and the CFS scheduler.
Anyone else have experience with alternative kernels?
