IF anyone is interested, I have found , courtesy of a link in PCLOS forums, a windows tool that allows it to read and write to ext2 and ext3 partitions.

The way I see it is I can set up a partition for sharing files in,say, ext3 partition, and windows can access it just fine.

Finally, we can make windows accommodate Linux vs Linux having to change to fit windows.

Great thing to have if you have a dual boot system, especially if you download something in Linux and need to use it in a Windows app.

Came in really handy a while back when Linux wasn't writing to NTFS partitions, but I still use it once in a while.
