What was important to me in the article or review is the comparison between the memory-footprint between several window-managers (gnome, lxde and xcfe). It seems that lxde is both very compleet and has far the lowest footprint. Specially because it is an Ubuntu-project now...it could be very easy to turn it into a Mint-project too. For all the people who just like to use a mean and lean computersystem without all the visual gimmicks (KDE4 and I keep my fingers crossed for Gnome 3).
