How do you learn to be a Linux Developer?

Postby gh0st on Sun Dec 20, 2009 10:30 pm

I was wondering how you learn to be a Linux Developer? Where do you start, if you want to learn more? Short of purchasing expensive books.

Say if you wanted to get involved in the Linux Open Source community, and someday develop, where would you begin?

I figure this might be a good topic.

www.google.com is where everyone starts.
If you have a question that has been answered and solved, then please edit your original post and put a [SOLVED] at the end of your subject header
Hint - use a google search including the search term site:forums.linuxmint.com
