Grub 2 is final, no longer RC

Post by dawgdoc »

Of course Grub2 is not really version 2.0. In LMDE it has been version 1.99~rc1-13. So I guess we will soon see version 1.99
(Grub legacy never reached version 1, for Debian testing it is at 0.97-65)

There is now official support for ZFS and BTrFS.
Check the release notification for a full list of improvements http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub- ... 00032.html

That's right, Grub legacy never reach 1.0, that means we won't see version 2.0 for a long time if ever...

So far, it's only 1.99: ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/grub/
