Even though I switched from LMDE to Debian a few weeks ago, I still spend most of my time in the Mint forums. Why? you may ask:

As far as I'm concerned the responses that the OP got there are nothing short of fanboy ignorant. Is it any wonder their forums get a bad name?

That looks like a typical post on the Debian forum.
That's why I don't use them...

Re: Why I rarely use Debian forums
They are called "Debian-Elitists" that give the Debian User Forums, a bad name.
When I first joined the Debian Forums a few years back ... I went there asking questions after Crunchbang first switched to a Debian-base.
The 'elitists' ... "chewed me up and spit me out" ... I was sliced and diced.
Almost made me want to quit their forum entirely.
I have learned not to mention any other Linux distro (either LMDE, Crunchbang or antiX) by name, when I go there.
