VectorLinux has just released 64bit edition and in the release announcement, and I quote, it say:
Basically all has been recompiled from scratch to make 64-bit machines scream. We need to warn that this may be too fast for the average user so don't blame us if your PC goes up in flames!
Among the best release announcements I have ever heard :)

Just wanted to ask you guys, why is Vector Linux special compared to ubuntu or any other distro? Does it have a unique feature?

Cheers,

It's Slackware-based and, from what I read, very user-friendly. For example, take a look at http://www.raiden.net/?cat=2&aid=365

And it is FAST, damn fast. I used it for a period on my little sisters computer, but there were some points, like it did not detect neither the cd drive and DVD drive. However, install is just as easy as in Ubuntu, using Slapt-get and a graphical package manager I forgot the name of.
It is eccellent for older computers or low end hardware..
