Has anybody tried this distro, well I did I was amazed at the speed of it while running the live cd I was wondering why its so much faster than Mints live cd but any who. I'm just wondering about your opinions and comments about this distribution. Too bad its a spin off its really nice.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I have not tried the Xfce Spin but I did use Xfce when I ran Fedora 6. Fedora has good hardware support but the package management is not quite up to speed. Does the Xfce Spin use Pulse Audio? Just curious.

Um not entirely sure even by reading this since I'm at college can't pop in the live cd and my brain is fried from doing homework, here is the link.

It mentions pulse audio but yea I'm not sure so you can decide. :)

For some reason the Mint XFCE livecd is really slow (for me at least). I dont have any such problems with the Xubuntu livecd.

I did look at the Fedora spin but it comes with the stock XFCE look and feel which I find is a bit crappy. I like what Xubuntu does with XFCE in terms of look and feel.

For me its rare to keep the default theme of any operating system, so that doesn't really bother me but the default theme of Fedora 8 XFCE was surprising to me when I first saw it. I did like the theme of looking like a real old computer doing everything at super fast speeds. :P
