on the desktop I have two users, one in English and the other in Italian, because I need them that way. This is what made me know about linux, in 2008. I wanted a system that gave the possibility of changing languages. With windows, i learned that only the very expensive editions like vista ultimate could offer that. I had no cash for vista ultimate. While googling the problem I saw a suggestion of Ubuntu. Decided to try it following the explanations from internet, messed up a number of times but finally felt at home.
Ubuntu presented some little problem, installing it in Africa in a place without internet connection. Again, I googled for a way of doing this, looking for ways of copying packages in cd for for use in installation in another system. In the process I came to know about linux-mint. And loved it.
I don't know a future difficult will take me but Linux-mint is serving me very well.
